At VGCB, social investment is central to our mission; we strive to give back to the community multi-fold what we utilize.
Our CSR initiatives focus on improving the quality of life for communities near our operations, primarily covering 8 wards and six slums in Vizag: Chilakapeta, Padmanagar, Conveyor Belt, Kotaveedhi, Ambusarang Street, and Ferry Road.
Projects are designed based on community needs assessment, national priorities, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Approach
- Collaborative Implementation: We work in close partnership with government bodies, civil society organizations, NGOs, and the local community.
- In-House Execution: Key projects are designed and implemented by our internal CSR team to ensure ownership, quality, and accountability.
- Grant Support: We extend financial support to credible organizations working in line with VGCB’s CSR goals.
Governance Structure
- Monthly Reviews: The VGCB Executive Committee (ExCo) conducts monthly reviews of all CSR projects and their respective expenditures.
- Board Oversight: The VGCB CSR Committee of the Board approves the annual CSR budget and undertakes annual reviews to ensure policy compliance and program effectiveness.
